This is the Privacy Policy of Synapse Team and GrabU (collectively hereinafter, “GrabU”, “us”, “we”, or “our”). In this Privacy Policy, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
By accessing or using our websites, services, applications, products and content (including but not limited to platforms) (collectively, the "services"), you have read this policy and understand your rights to your information and how we will collect, use and process it. If you do not agree to this policy or any part of it, you should not use our services. Capitalized terms not defined in this policy have the meanings given to them in user terms.

When you install the Service on your device and register with GrabU, personally identifiable information about you may be collected during the download process for the Service (as requested from you during the download process) when you register with us. For registration through GrabU, you are required to provide your mobile phone number or your email address, city location, gender, name, depending on the device(s) you are using on the Service. You may also provide personally identifiable information, but that is optional. When you log in using your Facebook account, we may collect additional information you make available to us (see “Your User Profile”) below.
In addition, when you install the Service on your device and register with GrabU, you may will be asked to allow us access to your address book. If you consent, we will have access to contact information in your address book on the devices you use for the Service (names, numbers, emails, and Facebook ID, but not notes or other personal information in your address book) and we will store it on our servers and use it to help you use the Service, for example, by synchronizing your GrabU contacts between different devices you may want to use with the Service. If you do not want GrabU to store this information, you may opt-out through your account settings in the GrabU application at any time. However we may not be able to offer some of the features that require this information.
GrabU may also collect and gather non-personally identifiable information, such as certain profile information including country of residence and preferences. In addition, GrabU may collect and store information about your and others’ usage of and interaction with the Service and our websites, including matches, numbers of matches made by members, match durations, text messages, usage by geographies, device and connection information, IP address, device capability, bandwidth, statistics on page views, network type and traffic to and from our websites.
GrabU allows you to share text messages, photos, screenshots, videos and other communications in the GrabU application with other users, and if you choose to do so your text messages, photos, screenshots, videos and other communications will be stored on our servers. In addition, if you choose to share these items with other GrabU users, we may not be able to remove them from our servers or make them unavailable to anyone you have shared them with. Sending and sharing text messages, photos, screenshots, videos or other communications in the GrabU application is your decision. By choosing to share that information, you should understand that you may no longer be able to control how that information is used and that it may become publicly available (depending in part on your actions or the actions of others with whom you have shared the information). GrabU is not responsible for any use or misuse of information you share.
GrabU may also collect and gather user contents (e.g., photos, screenshots, comments, and other materials) that you create on the Service. Your photo can be taken by other users on the GrabU, and If they use capturing function provided by the GrabU, those photos can be stored and used for GrabU and 3rd party’s service(eg, Facebook, etc.). You can change sharing option of 3rd party on the GrabU settings. If you do not agree with all the terms of this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.
To complete a commerce transaction on GrabU item shop, you will be requested to provide your payment information, including your credit card number, card expiration date, CVV code, and billing address. In that event, we will transmit your information securely directly to a third party vendor or merchant GrabU will collect such information in order to process and fulfill your purchase. GrabU does not process or store your payment information. However, we may store other information about your purchases made on the Service, which may include the merchant’s name, the date, time and amount of the transaction and other behavioral information.
We also collect error-reporting information if the Service crashes or hangs up so that we can investigate the error and improve the stability of the Service for future releases. In general these reports do not contain personally identifiable information, or only incidentally. As part of these error reports, we receive information about the type and version of your device, the device identifier, the time the error occurred, the feature being used and the state of the application when the error occurred. We do not use this information for any purpose other than investigating and fixing the error.
We will not rent or sell your information to third parties (or the group of companies of which GrabU is a part) without your consent, except as noted in this Policy.
Parties with whom we may share your information:
● We may share User Content and your information (including but not limited to, information from cookies, log files, device identifiers, location data, and usage data) with businesses that are legally part of the same group of companies that GrabU is part of, or that become part of that group ("Affiliates"). Affiliates may use this information to help provide, understand, and improve the Service (including by providing analytics) and Affiliates' own services (including by providing you with better and more relevant experiences). But these Affiliates will honor the choices you make about GrabU can see your contents.
● We also may share your information as well as information from tools like cookies, log files, and device identifiers and location data, with third-party organizations that help us provide the Service to you ("Service Providers"). Our Service Providers will be given access to your information as is reasonably necessary to provide the Service under reasonable confidentiality terms.
● We may also share aggregate or anonymous information with third parties, including advertisers and investors. For example, we may tell our advertisers the number of users our app receives. This information does not contain any personal or personally identifiable information, and is used to develop content and services that we hope you will find of interest.
● We may remove parts of data that can identify you and share anonymized data with other parties. We may also combine your information with other information in a way that it is no longer associated with you and share that aggregated information.
Parties with whom you may choose to share your User Content:
● Any information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to the Service, such as User Content, becomes available to the public. With this feature, GrabU can be protected from exhibitionism. Once you have shared User Content or made it public, that User Content may be re-shared by others.
● If you remove information and contents(eg. Screenshots, etc.) that you created on the Service, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Service, or if other Users or third parties have copied or saved that information.(eg. Facebook, etc.)
We use or may disclose your personal information only as follows:
● To verify your identity;
● To connect you with others as enabled by the Service;
● To share your Profile with others on the Service;
● To allow your use of certain features of the Service that may be offered from time to time (such as Premium Services (see our Terms of Use), etc.);
● To show you the names of persons you communicate with and to show your name to persons you communicate with on the Service;
● To deliver to you any administrative notices, alerts and communications relevant to your use of the Service;
● To provide you with relevant content that you requested, using information that you allow us to collect from you or that you provide to a social media provider with which your GrabU account is connected, such as information regarding your and your GrabU contacts' respective locations;
● To contact you via email, SMS or otherwise for the purpose of informing you about new products, services or promotions offered by GrabU (you can opt-out of such emails or SMSs by sending an email to support@grabu.live);
● For internal operations, including troubleshooting problems, data analysis, testing, research, improvements to the Service, detecting and protecting against error, fraud or other illegal activity;
● When we have a good faith belief that the law, any legal process, law enforcement, national security or issue of public importance requires disclosure;
● To protect and defend our rights or property (including to enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements); or
● In connection with a corporate transaction involving GrabU, such as the purchase or sale of a business unit, an acquisition, merger, sale of assets, or other similar event.
If you have registered for an account, you can access and update some of the personal information you provide to us by logging in to your online account and using the functions and features available there.
You can opt out of the marketing or advertising email by using the unsubscribe link or mechanism noted in the marketing or advertising email we receive.
If you don't want to share your GPS or mobile device location information with us, you can turn off the location information function on your mobile device.
You can always control what information you choose to share with us on the Service. To do so, you can change your settings in the Service or in your mobile device. Alternatively, you can remove the Service from your mobile device entirely.
You can remove your data anytime you want. If you ask us to delete your account, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to remove your data from our servers.
Any personally identifiable information that (i) you share in text messages, photos, videos or otherwise in or through the GrabU application with other users, or (ii) submit on a blog, bulletin board or chat room on our website or elsewhere, can be viewed and used by others, including to send you unsolicited messages or to commit identity theft. GrabU is not responsible for any use or misuse of your information that might result from your disclosure of information.
In certain instances, Synapse Team and GrabU may have contracts with third parties to provide products and/or services in connection with the Service. In those cases, GrabU may share your personal information with GrabU’s third-party service providers, but only in connection with providing the services to you. For example, GrabU shares your phone number or email with third party SMS and email providers to deliver the authentication SMS or email to you when you register with GrabU. We contractually require that these third parties use your information solely to deliver SMS or email to you and to use appropriate security measures to protect your information. In addition, certain GrabU servers are owned and hosted by third party service providers. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third party service providers.
If you accessed a website, product or service provided by a third party, including through the Service or a GrabU website, such third party may also collect information about you. Please see the privacy policies of each such third party for more information about how they use the information they collect. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any exchange of information between you and any third party.
GrabU allows you to choose not to receive promotional email messages from GrabU and its service providers. You may opt-out by following instructions in the message sent by GrabU or its service providers on how to unsubscribe from that particular mailing. You may also opt-out by contacting us at support@grabu.live.
We will take measures to ensure that your information is handled safely and in accordance with this policy. Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not entirely secure. Although we will try our best to protect your information, such as through encryption, we cannot guarantee the security of the information you transmit through the platform; any transmission risk is borne by you.
We have appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that the level of security is commensurate with the potential and severity of the risks to your and other users' rights and freedoms. We maintain these technical and organizational measures and will revise them from time to time to improve the overall security of our system.
From time to time, we will include links to our partner networks, advertisers and affiliate websites. If you use links to these sites, please note that these sites have their own privacy policies and we do not assume any responsibility or responsibility for these policies. Please review these policies before submitting any information to these sites.
Note that if you upload a video to the platform for the first time, you will be informed that you are using the platform on a public account, which means that if you publish a video, it will be visible to every user of the platform, regardless of your connection to that user. You can restrict visitors' access to the information contained in the information published to the platform according to the privacy settings specified in the information window. Changes to the privacy settings on the platform will be applied immediately and affect information you have posted in the past. Once you decide to delete the corresponding UGV or broadcast content or other information provided in your profile, we will delete your information from the platform you use.
Your information may be stored and processed in any country in which Synapse Team and GrabU maintains facilities. In this regard, or for purposes of sharing or disclosing data as described in this Privacy Policy, Synapse Team and GrabU reserves the right to transfer information outside of your country. By using the Service, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of eighteen (18) and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of eighteen as part of the Service. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from a user under the age of eighteen as part of the Service, we will delete such information from our records. If we change our practices in the future, we will obtain prior, verifiable parental consent before collecting any personally identifiable information from children under the age of eighteen as part of the Service.
Change
We will normally notify all users of any significant changes to this policy through our platform notifications. However, you should review this policy periodically to check for any changes. We will also update the "last update" date at the top of this policy, which reflects the effective date of the policy. If you continue to visit or use the service after the date of renewal of the policy, you accept the renewal policy. If you do not agree with the updated policy, you must stop accessing or using the service.
In the event of a conflict between the provisions of the supplemental terms (the specific jurisdiction related to the jurisdiction in which you access or use the service) and other parts of the policy, the supplemental provisions (specific jurisdiction) of the relevant jurisdiction will replace and control.
The security of your personal data. The personal data you share for the service will be protected in accordance with the policies and systems adopted by the company.
Data retention. We will not retain sensitive personal data or data longer than is necessary for the legitimate use of such data or as otherwise provided by any existing law.
Information about children. The platform is not for people under 18. Users under the age of 18 are not allowed to use the platform or register accounts on the platform. We will remove personal information from these people who are under 18 years old if they are found out there. If you think that we may have personal data or collect information about people under the age of 18, please contact us at the online customer service.
You have the right to access and review the personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate personal data about you, request the deletion of the personal data you hold about you, and request that the processing of your personal data be suspended. You can exercise your rights through online customer service.
Parents and guardians agree. If you are under the age of 21 and you declare that you have obtained the consent of your parents or legal guardian, you can:
Use the service or register an account on the service.
Data permission. You have the right to access personal data in our platform at any time.
Notice. If GrabU fails to keep your personal data confidential on our platform, GrabU will immediately notify you through the contact information you provided.
Change of terms. The following terms shall prevail over the above "changes": "we may amend this policy from time to time to the extent permitted by applicable law. If we modify this policy, we will notify you of the effective date of the change by (I) posting a notice on the login page of our website or the initial screen of our mobile app; or (II) the contact information you provide to us. If you do not explicitly object to the revised policy, even if we inform you, your failure to do so within the above notice period will be deemed to have accepted the change and you will be deemed to have agreed to the new policy. "
Parents and guardians agree. If you are 13 years of age but under 20 years of age, you declare that you have obtained the consent of your parents or legal guardian to use these platforms or register accounts on them.
Information. With respect to the above (regarding "information" in "types of information we collect"), the following additional terms apply: no one may read your information unless required by applicable laws and regulations. The purpose of this function is to detect abuse, fraud and illegal activities on the platform. You can turn this off at any time by going to help@grabu123.com.
How we share your profile. Despite the above information (how we share your personal data), in Japan, we only share your personal data with selected third parties specifically listed in this section. For customers in Japan. GrabU continues to be primarily responsible for protecting your information.
